Characteristics

Annual, sometimes perennial herb, 0.15-0.30 m high; plants glabrous. Stems erect or ascending, sturdy, laxly much branched in inflorescence. Leaves opposite or alternate; blade ovate, 25-50 x 17-38 mm, apex obtuse or apiculate, floral ones acute, margins dentate to serrate, thinly pubescent; petioles 4.0-10.5 mm long. Flowers: in leaf axils or upper ones in leafy and bracteate, loose racemes; pilose or pubescent to glabrescent; spur extended conical, up to 2 mm long; corolla upper lobes oblong, up to 3.2 mm long, white, throat yellow; Jul.-Oct. Fruit an oblong capsule, up to 8 x 6 mm, slightly narrower below apex, apex truncate, emarginate.
