Characteristics

Plants to 500 mm tall; 2 basal leaves, spreading, narrowly elliptic to oblong, acute, to 155 x 20 mm; cauline leaves sheathing, sparse, grading into the floral bracts. Inflorescences lax, racemose, to 150 mm long; bracts the same size as ovaries to V3 larger, lanceolate, acute to acuminate. Flowers 2-12, c. 15 x 6 mm, with brownish-green sepals, white lip with pink marking at base, off-white petals. Sepals subequal, lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute, shallowly concave, to 9 x 3 mm. Petals ovate, obtuse, oblique, lower '/3 fused to gynostemium, concave, to 7 x 3 mm, partially enclosing the gynostemium. Lip spathulate, to 12 x 8 mm; limb margins inrolled; blade ovate, callose at base, margin finely undulate to denticulate. Anther erect, c. 10 mm tall by half as wide; stigma tripulvinate; rostellum c. 2 mm tall, 3-lobed.
