Characteristics

Terrestrial fern. Rhizome with numerous, narrow, attenuate, light brown scales. Fronds pinnate, erect; stipe 5–10 cm long, with narrow scales becoming linear above; lamina 30–50 cm long, 2–4.5 cm broad; rachis with narrow, linear scales; pinnae closely adjacent, subsessile, deltoid-oblong, 10–25 mm long, 5–9 mm broad, unequally cordate at base, shortly auriculate, the lobes overlapping the rachis, shallowly crenate; veins terminating in submarginal hydrathodes on upper surface.
