Characteristics

Leaves 3-9 cm. long (rhachis + petiole); rhachis with a sessile gland between each pinna-pair; glands present or absent between leaflet-pairs; pinnae 1-4 pairs (1-2 with us); leaflets (2)4-5 pairs, (1·5)2-6 x (0·5)1-3 cm. (to 7 x 3·8 cm. in juvenile shoots), ± irregularly rhombic; lateral nerves slightly raised beneath.
