Characteristics

Plants clumping, erect. Leaves 4–6 per growth, 80–150 × 15–20 mm, bright green to yellowish green, fleshy. Racemes arching, 100–200 mm long; basal part with a few small bracts. Flowers c. 2.3 × 1.5 mm, whitish or yellowish, in whorls of 6–8. Sepals and petals usually reflexed against ovary. Sepals c. 1.2 × 1 mm, flat. Petals c. 1.2 × 0.5 mm, margins lacerated. Labellum broadly triangular, c. 1.3 × 1.5 mm, 3-lobed; margins densely fringed; apex notched.

Environment

Locally common; mainly found growing on trees in rainforest and humid areas of open forest; also on trees and boulders in rockpile vegetation, and on mangroves around large streams and estuaries. Favours airy sites on the upper branches of rainforest trees and trees growing on the edges of cliffs and escarpments.
