Characteristics

A small epiphytic herb with few–many clustered stems.. Stems leafy, 2–15 cm. long.. Leaves distichous, fleshy, bilaterally compressed, lanceolate, acute or acuminate in side view, 2–5 cm. long, 0.6–1 cm. broad, decreasing in size towards apex.. Inflorescence terminal, 4–10 cm. long, a densely many-flowered cylindrical-tapering raceme; bracts minute, to 1.5 mm. long.. Flowers minute, yellow to orange.. Sepals ovate, subacute or obtuse, 0.7 mm. long, 0.5–0.6 mm. broad.. Petals elliptic-oblong, rounded at apex, 0.5 mm. long, 0.2–0.3 mm. broad.. Plants epiphytic, usually pendulous; roots numerous, fine; stems clustered, flattened, to 100 mm tall; leaves distichous, equitant, succulent, imbricate, acute, to 35 x 9 mm. Inflorescences very slender many-flowered racemes to 70 mm long; bracts lanceolate, 1.5-2.5 mm long, closely sheathing the pedicels. Flowers star-like, 2 mm in diameter, greenish-yellow to orange. Sepals spreading, triangular, acuminate, 1 x 1 mm. Petals spreading, narrowly triangular, acute, 0.8 x 0.5 mm. Lip pandurate, 1.2 x 1 mm, obtuse apically, basally swollen and clasping the gynostemium-base. Gynostemium squat, 0.5 mm long. Capsules ribbed, almost round, 2 mm in diameter.
Epiphyte, with leafy stems up to 100 mm long, flattened. Leaves pale yellowish green, succulent, each up to 35 mm long, 9 mm wide. Inflorescence up to 70 mm long, bearing 70-100 flowers. Flowers 2 mm in diameter, lip bilobed and fimbriate at apex; straw-coloured.
