Leaves dimorphic, blade up to 30 x 2.2 mm; basal ones rosulate, blade spathulate to elliptic, stem leaves filiform to narrowly linear-ovate. Flowers: terminal or axillary, solitary or in groups of 2 or 3, sometimes paniculate; pedicels very slender, 4-38 mm long; calyx with lobes 4; corolla with tube 1.2-3.6 mm long, somewhat hairy at throat, white to pale purple; Feb., Mar. Fruit a subglobose capsule, beaked, glabrous.
