Characteristics

Perennial, caespitose, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.03 m high. Leaves oblong-lanceolate, punctate, acuminate, margins with 2 or 3 teeth. Flowers solitary, golden-yellow, lower surface reddish. Flowering time May-July. Capsules 5-or 6-locular, septa dividing into 2, upper parts arching over tops of capsules, causing open capsule to appear empty, valve wings basally connate with valves, in erect position when valves are open.
