Characteristics
A pandanus. It grows 6-10 m tall and can be 20 m tall. The crown is branched. The trunk is spiny. There are usually roots at the base. Plants are separately male or female. The leaves are 2 m long by 6-8 cm wide. There are spines along the edges. Flowering shoots are at the top. Male flowers hang down. The female flowers have 110-127 segments. The fruit is 30 cm long by 15-25 cm wide. There are 19-127 segments on each cone.
