Characteristics

Stems to 80 cm tall, ascending, subglabrous. Leaf petiole 2--5 cm, slender, pilose; leaf blade lanceolate-oblong, to 10 X 6 cm, pilose, pinnatisect; segments lanceolate-oblong, dentate. Inflorescences elongating in fruit, to 30 cm, interrupted basally; bracts linear, distal ones shorter than calyx. Calyx 5--6 mm, glabrous; lobes 5, triangular, entire. Corolla whitish, with rose to purple galea, ca. 1 cm; beak of galea ca. 5 mm, slender, curved upward; lower lip ca. 5 mm, not spreading. Filaments glabrous. Capsule lanceolate, ca. 11 X 4.5 mm. Fl. May--Aug, fr. Jul--Sep.
