Perennial subshrub, 0.01-0.02 m high; stems woody at base, branched, Sub-Erect, in small tufts. Leaves up to 15 mm long, revolute, apiculate into a bristle. Inflorescences many; peduncles slender, up to 60 mm long, mostly with one few-leaved whorl, from where branching of pseudoracemes commences. Perianth segments 5, often yellowish inside and at edges. Nectariferous disc of 3 broad, obtuse, crenulate lobes. Stigmas broad, revolute. Flowering time Dec.-Mar. Fruit a rounded, membranous, loculicidal, 3-5-valved capsule, as long as perianth. Seeds shining, subglobose.
