Characteristics

Irregular, drooping to erect, laxly branched shrub to 1 m tall and 2 m wide. Leaves spirally arranged, free and spreading, 2.5-3.5 mm long, less than 1 mm wide, apically incurved, basally decurrent, subulate, sharply keeled, whitish above, glossy dark green below. Male cones erect, globular to ovoid, to 6 mm long, with 12-15 fertile scales. Female cones on short, erect branches, globular, 2-4 mm long, with 4-8 fertile scales; scales broadly obovate, brown when mature. Seeds on upper surface, brown when mature, less than 1 mm diam.
