Characteristics

Succulent shrub, with spreading branches, up to 250 mm tall. Leaves trigonous, shortly fused at their bases, 10-25 x ± 3 mm, ± 3 mm thick, apiculate, with recurved tips. Flowers solitary, 18 mm diam., on pedicels up to 5 mm long, petals pale pink, filamentous staminodes and stamens conically collected. Fruit 5-locular, with top raised, closing bodies absent, with broad valve wings.

Erect, stiff shrublet to 16 cm. Leaves fused below into a sheath, spreading, tip recurved, mucronate, 2-15 mm long. Flowers solitary, pink, 12 mm diam.
