Caudex with slender, elongate internodes; petioles subterete, 16-18 cm. long, short-vaginate; blades oblong-cordate, 20-27 cm. long, 6-12 cm. wide, acuminate, deeply cordate at the base, the basal lobes rather narrow, rounded, directed down-ward, the sinus deep and narrow, the primary costal nerves 5-6 on each side, much stouter and more prominent than the secondary ones; peduncles 1-2 cm. long; tube of the spathe globose-ventricose, 3 cm. long, the limb yellow, broadly ovate, cuspidulate-acuminate, equaling or slightly exceeding the tube; spadix borne on a stipe 3-4 mm. long, the pistillate portion 2-2.5 cm. long, the staminate part cylindric, attenuate upward, up to 6 cm. long, below about 1 cm. thick; pistils oblong, 6-celled, capped by the small, rounded stigma; stamens usually 4.
