Leaf flattened to terete; lamina 14-35 cm long, 0.6-2 mm wide or diam., glabrous to very densely strigose on margins and surfaces; sheath ciliate or hairy along margins, at least in upper part, and glabrous to variously hairy on outer surface. Inflorescence from c. half as long to longer than leaves; scape hairy, especially in basal part; bracts with branched hairs along margin; pedicels densely hairy. Anther connective shortly to markedly exceeding locules. Style trifid; stigmas 3.
