Characteristics

Annual herb to 30 cm tall, erect, hairy; hairs 2–(3–4)–fid with ascending branches. Basal leaves in a rosette, to 3.5 cm long, pinnatisect to sinuate, not persistent; cauline leaves reducing. Inflorescence an elongating raceme. Sepals 1.5–2 mm long. Petals 2–3 mm long, white to cream. Staminal filaments often expanded at base. Style short; stigma small, slightly capitate. Silicula obovate, 6.5–8 mm long, very slightly winged at apex, slightly notched; valves with hairs stipitate, branched; pedicels 3–7 mm long, stout, spreading. Seeds recorded by J. M. Black, Fl. S. Austral. 254 (1924), to be c. 2 mm long and to have radicle accumbent; ovules 3–6 per locule.
