Characteristics

Perennial herb, 10-50 mm high. Stems succulent; ovoid to cylindrical; pale to dark grey-green. Leaves rudimentary. Flowers: with or without sweet fruity scent; outer corona much reduced; corolla 15-28 mm wide, densely hairy, tube 0, lobes 8-12 x 3-5 mm, whitish to brownish yellow with reddish to brown dots. Fruit a follicle.
