Inflorescence very sparsely branched, bearing, in the few specimens seen, only 2 umbels on long peduncles 5–15 cm. long. Umbels with 4 slender rays 4–9 cm. long; bracts and bracteoles 0. Partial umbels with c. 10 flowers on fine pedicels 2–5 mm. long.

Basal leaves apparently single, 3–5 × 5–8 cm., orbicular or reniform, margin regularly denticulate, puberulent on the veins of the inferior surface. Stem almost leafless, with a few much-reduced bases only.
Immature fruit broadly ovoid, glabrous; stylopodium depressed with strongly divergent styles.
Very slender biennial or perennial herbs 25–45 cm.
Stems terete, finely grooved, somewhat flexuous.
Rootstock rather fleshy.
