Characteristics

Herb ± 70 cm. tall, probably perennial, glabrous throughout.. Stem terete, finely striate, branched above with the branches divergent.. Lower leaves pinnate with 1–2 pairs of leaflets; leaflets very long, narrowly lanceolate, up to 20 × 1.6 cm., regularly serrulate with firm, white, cartilaginous teeth, the veins reticulate-anastomosing, only the terminal leaflet stalked, with the petiolule 0.5–2 cm. long; petiole up to 12 cm. long including the 2–3 cm. finely striate sheath; upper leaves rapidly reducing, sessile, the uppermost trisect with very narrow segments furnished with sharply salient teeth.. Umbels of 13–20 unequal rays up to 2.6 cm. long; involucre of 7–9 subulate, sometimes toothed bracts up to 1 cm. long; partial umbels ± 10–14-flowered; involucel of 3–6 subulate bracteoles up to 3 mm. long.. Calyx absent.. Petals ± 0.6 mm. long, white, univittate.. Fruit unknown.
