Characteristics

Perennial dwarf shrub or herb, 0.09-0.40 m high. Leaves linear to narrowly lanceolate, up to 260 x 10 mm, pubescent. Inflorescences in spikes up to 75 mm long; scapes up to 300 mm long; bracts short, inconspicuous, not projecting beyond flowers, apex subacute. Calyx lobes elliptical, ± 2.5 x 1.5 mm, narrowly winged, subacute. Corolla lobes deltoid, ± 1.5 x 1 mm, subacute. Flowering time all year. Fruit an ellipsoid capsule, ± 3 x 1.5 mm. Seeds boat-shaped, up to 4 per capsule, brown, 2.3 x 1.2 mm, hilum scar at centre.
