Leaves in a basal rosette, linear to narrowly lanceolate to oblanceolate, up to 120 x 12.5 mm, glabrous, rarely pubescent; petioles flattened, up to 100 mm long. Inflorescences in spikes up to 66 mm long; scapes few per rosette, up to 180 mm long; bracts densely pilose, apex acute. Calyx lobes narrowly elliptic, ± 2.5 x 1.0 mm, not winged, acute. Corolla lobes narrowly deltoid, ± 2.5 x mm, acute. Flowering time Jan. Fruit an ellipsoid capsule, ± 3 x 1.5 mm. Seeds narrowly tetrahedral, 2-4 per capsule, pale yellowish brown, 1.6 x 1 mm, hilum scar at apex small.
