Lip entire, 7–11 × 2 mm, ligulate, curving forwards, fleshy; spur 12–19 mm long, swollen at apex, usually tucked into bracts.
Leaves 5–8, spaced along stem, the lowermost ± spreading, the largest up to 8 × 1 cm, narrowly lanceolate.
Petals erect, 8–12 × c. 2 mm, curved lanceolate-linear, adnate to dorsal sepal.
Anther 4.5–6.5 mm high, erect, apiculate; canals 3.5–5 mm long, porrect.
Terrestrial herb 30–70 cm tall; tubers up to 2.5 × 1 cm, ellipsoid.
Dorsal sepal reflexed, 10–14 × 3–4 mm, obliquely lanceolate, acute.
Inflorescence compact, up to 5.5 cm long, densely 2–8-flowered.
Ovary and pedicel arching, up to 25 mm long.
Flowers bright orange, suberect.
Bracts up to 20 mm long.
