Probably a liana or climbing shrub. Petiole 1 cm long; blades thinly coriaceous, elliptic to obovate-elliptic, 8-12 x 5-7 cm, margins denticulate, slightly revolute, apex obtuse to truncate or rounded, slightly emarginate, narrowing towards rounded or slightly cordate base, shortly strigose above, strongly strigose beneath, especially on veins; primary vein impressed above, strongly prominent beneath, secondary veins 7-10 per side like the reticulation impressed above, strongly prominent beneath. Inflorescence large, compound, terminal, lower parts axillary, the stout branches bearing numerous, 3-8 cm long, spiciform racemes with flattened rachis. Flowers in bracteate clusters, all parts densely strigose outside; bracts minute; pedicels to 1 mm long; calyx cupular, ca. 1 mm diam., lobes triangular; petals 4, elliptic, 1 mm long; stamens 4, to 1 mm long, anthers elliptic-oblong, 0.5 mm long, dorsi-basifixed; ovary conical, slightly pilose. Fruit unknown.
