Characteristics

Small, annual herb, glabrous stems, 0.07-0.11 m high. Leaves up to 5 x 0.5 mm, linear or filiform, with sharp, often uncinate apex. Flowers pink, in dense, terminal racemes, glabrous rachis and very small caducous bracts and bracteoles, wing sepals suborbicular, ciliate, upper petal oblong to lanceolate; pedicels very short. Flowering time Sept.? Fruit a membranous capsule, 1.2 x 1.2 mm. Seed with straight or glochidiate hairs (or at least some) or glabrous and always without caruncle.
