Posterior sepal 1.5 mm. long; wing sepals 4–5 x 2–2.5 mm., obliquely elliptic, acute at the apex, glabrous; anterior sepals 1.2 mm. long, connate.
Seeds (somewhat immature) 1.5 x 0.8 mm., ellipsoid, with white, silky hairs; caruncle 0.5 mm. long, appendages scarcely developed.
Much branched annual herb up to 60 cm. tall with slender, glabrous or almost glabrous stems.
Capsule 2–2.5 x 1.8–2 mm., suborbicular in outline, glabrous, marginal wing 0.5 mm. broad.
Upper petals 1.8 x 1 mm., broadly oblong; carina 4.5 x 2 mm., crest 1.5 mm. long.
Leaves 10–20 x 0.3–1 mm., linear to almost acicular, with incurved margins.
