Perennial herb, up to 0.9 m high; not spinescent. Stems erect, slender, wiry, green; glabrous. Leaves distant, sessile; blade linear, 10-40 x 0.5-2.0 mm, apex acute. Flowers: in terminal racemes; wings obovate, 6-7 x 3-4 mm, apex rounded, pale purple; petals purple or pink; Oct.-Mar.
Flowers dull yellowish-white, pale purple or pinkish, pedicels 2–3 mm. long, in elongated, terminal racemes up to 20 cm. long with sparsely pubescent or glabrous rhachis and caducous bracts 1.4 mm. long and bracteoles about 1–1.2 mm. long.
Perennial herb or shrublet, up to 0.6 m high. Stems wiry, green. Leaves lorate to linear, 10-40 x 0.5-2.0 mm. Carina 6 mm long with crest 2-3 mm long. Flowers yellowish white, pale purple or pink.
Posterior sepal 2.5–3 mm. long; wing sepals 5–8 x 3–4.5 mm., obovate, obovate-elliptic or suborbicular, glabrous; anterior sepals 2–2.5 mm. long, free.
No encontramos el tipo o algun duplicado. Por la descripcion y dibujo de la semilla parece que sea Polygala hottentotta C. Presl.

Upper petals c. 2.2 x 2.2 mm., almost square, with a short stalk; carina 6 x 2.5–3 mm., crest 2.5–3 mm. long.
Seeds 4 x 2 mm., ellipsoid, with white silky hairs; caruncle oblique, appendages scarcely developed.
Capsule 4–5 x 3–3.5 mm., obliquely obovate-elliptic, with very narrowly winged margin, glabrous.
Leaves 10–40 x 0.5–2 mm., lorate to linear, glabrous or very sparsely pubescent.
