Posterior sepal 3.5 mm. long; wing sepals 6–7 x 4–4.5 mm., obliquely broadly elliptic, glabrous except for the occasional presence of a few hairs towards the base; anterior sepals 3 mm. long, free.
Seeds 4 x 1.2 mm., shortly cylindric, nearly 2 mm. of the length consisting of a caruncle large in relation to the size of the seed and without appendages.
Upper petals 5 x 3.5 mm., obliquely ovate-lanceolate, notched at one side; carina 8 x 3 mm., slightly exceeding the wings at maturity, crest 4.5 mm. long.
Leaves 10–20 x 0.5–1 mm., linear with needle-like points and incurved margins, sparsely pubescent or glabrous.
Capsule 6 x 2.5–3 mm. narrowly elliptic in outline, ciliate on the margin, marginal wing extremely narrow.
Annual herb 0.5–2 m. tall with slender, wiry, green, minutely appressed-pubescent or glabrous stems.
