Characteristics

Posterior sepal 2 mm. long; wing sepals 4 x 2 mm., elliptic, with minutely ciliolate margin otherwise glabrous, apparently greenish-white in colour; anterior sepals apparently connate almost to the apex but coming apart rather readily, 1.5 mm. long.

Flowers greenish, pedicels 1.5 mm. long, in lateral racemes 3.5 cm. long with almost glabrous rhachis and caducous bracts and bracteoles.
Capsule 4.5–5 x 3.5–4 mm. elliptic-oblong, clearly broader than the wing sepals, margin with a narrow wing 0.2–0.5 mm. broad.
Seeds 2 x 1.2 mm., cylindric, with white, silky hairs; caruncle 0.7 mm. long with appendages 0.3 mm. long.
Herb 10–12 cm. tall, stems minutely crisped-pubescent, branchlets arcuate-ascendant.
Leaves 10–45 x 1.5–4mm., linear-elliptic, glabrous.
