Characteristics

Erect or decumbent dwarf shrub, 0.15-1.00 m high. Leaves alternate, erect or spreading, sessile, 4-12 mm long, linear, linear-lanceolate or elliptical, flat or channelled above, acute or somewhat obtuse, apiculate, midrib sometimes prominent below, scabrous, pubescent or glabrous. Flowers papilionaceous, magenta, pink or white; side petals entire, obtuse, with a shortly hairy zone below. Flowering time Aug.-Oct. or all year. Fruit a membranous capsule, obovate with a marginal rim. Seed ellipsoid, hairy.
