Terrestrial orchids growing singly or in loose groups. Non-flowering and flowering plants are dimorphic. Non-flowering plants consist of single leaf; flowering plants are leafless. Leaf single, glabrous, green with white veins. Racemes 1-flowered; peduncle thin, wiry, glabrous. Flowers resupinate, dull-coloured, fragrant. Tepals free, similar in shape and size, narrow, with sessile glands on outer surfaces. Dorsal sepal erect or recurved away from column. Lateral sepals and petals projected forwards or spreading like the fingers of a hand. Labellum hinged by a short claw to base of column. Labellum lamina 3-lobed; lateral lobes well-developed, broad, erect, incurved; midlobe narrow, decurved, entire. Calli clubbed, in 2 rows, stalked, heads papillate; basal calli not different. Column erect, slender, incurved near apex, hairy. Anther with 4 mealy, yellow pollinia; viscidium absent.
