Scandent or scrambling shrub up to 5 m. in height; stems with 4 small ridges when young; older stems with conspicuous lenticels.. Stipules ± 1.5 mm. long, often laciniate.. Petiole 5–10(–14) mm. long; blade membranous to subcoriaceous, usually dark green, concolorous, sometimes greyish on drying, oblong to elliptic or rarely obovate, (3.2–)3.8–9(–11.2) cm. long, (1.5–)2.3–3.6(–5) cm. wide, obtuse, acute or acuminate, cuneate, venation conspicuously reticulate above and beneath; margin weakly to conspicuously toothed.. Inflorescence glabrous; bracts 0.5–1 mm. long, triangular, acute, with entire or erose margin, persistent; pedicels 1–2.5 mm. long.. Buds globose, 1–1.5 mm. long.. Flowers yellow or yellowish green, veined darker green, ± 2.5–4 mm. in diameter.. Sepals subequal, broadly ovate to nearly orbicular, rounded, 0.5–1 mm. long, with ciliolate-denticulate margin.. Petals ovate-oblong to nearly orbicular, 1–1.5 mm. long, shortly unguiculate, rounded.. Disc cup-shaped.. Stamens with slender filaments scarcely broadened towards the base..
