Characteristics

Bulb 2–4 cm diam. Leaves elliptic to ovate, acute to acuminate, cuneate at base, 10–35 cm long, 2–10 cm wide; margin flat; petiole 7–35 cm long. Umbel 10–30-flowered; peduncle to 60 cm long; involucral bracts 3 or 4, 2–3 cm long; pedicels 7-30 mm long. Perianth tube 8-15 mm long; lobes 6–24 mm long. Corona 5–12 mm long, the expanded filaments united for 3–12 mm; lobes of adjacent filaments fused into a single obtuse or emarginate lobe, erect or spreading. Fruit not seen.
