Characteristics

Rosette leaves c.6, oblong to elliptic, 10–15 x 5–1  wide. Flower stem 100–14  tall,   across, 1–4-flowered. Sterile bracts 2–3. Flowers porrect, 28–32 x 9–11mm, hood translucent white with bright reddish lines and markings, lateral sepals wholly red. Dorsal sepal point filamentous, 5–  long, porrect. Lateral sepals strongly reflexed back past ovary, wider than hood, flat or shallowly concave; margins flat to slightly incurved, glabrous; free points recurved, filamentous, 10–1  long, divergent. Petals with small basal flanges, 13–15 x c.5mm. Labellum broadly obovate, 6–6.5 x 3.5–3.8mm, relatively thin textured, red-brown, broadly concave to nearly flat, apex notched; margins thickened, with acicular siliceous cells, white bristles spreading, c.10, 1–  long; basal lobe long, sloping backwards, much narrower than blade, with numerous short white bristles.
