Characteristics

Rosette leaves 7–14, elliptic, 15–35 x 7–12mm, margins ciliate. Flower stem 200–35  tall, 3–  across, 1–7-flowered. Stem bracts 4–6. Flowers porrect, 50–60 x 12–14mm, transparent white with green, brown or red-brown lines and markings. Dorsal sepal point filamentous, 11–2  long, upcurved. Lateral sepals wider than hood, deeply concave, margins thickened, densely hairy; free points filamentous, 30–4  long, parallel. Petals large, transparent, with small basal flanges, 18–20 x 6–7mm. Labellum obovate, 6–7.5 x 3.5–4mm, thin-textured, green to brown, tapered to base where shallowly constricted, apex upturned; margins shallowly scalloped (appearing slightly wavy), with 26–34 spreading white bristles c.  long; two prominent bristles c.3.  long projecting from near base; basal lobe thin, sloping backwards, glabrous or few short bristles.
