Characteristics

Rosette leaves elliptic, 6–12, 6–22 x 3–6mm. Flower stem 60–25  tall, 3–  across, 1–7-flowered. Stem bracts 4–5. Flowers porrect to semi-erect, 25–32 x 10–12mm, translucent white heavily marked with reddish to reddish-brown or dark brown or blackish lines (flowers sometimes wholly green), shiny. Dorsal sepal point filamentous, 7–1  long, porrect to upcurved. Lateral sepals slightly wider than hood, shallowly concave, margins flat, sparsely to densely hairy; free points filamentous, 10–2  long, incurved, parallel to weakly divergent. Petals large, with small basal flanges, 16–18 x 5–6.5mm. Labellum broadly elliptic, 6–7 x 3–3.5mm, thin-textured, dark brown, narrowed to base; margins shallowly scalloped (appearing slightly wavy), with 18–24 spreading bristles c.1.  long; two prominent bristles c.  long projecting from near base; basal lobe thin, sloping backwards, without bristles.
