Characteristics

Rosette stalk 10–1  long; leaves 4–8, 6–30 x 5–15mm. Flower stem 150–45  tall; stem leaves 4–9, 25–50 x 8–15mm. Flowers 1–13, porrect, 20–25 x 12–15mm, dark reddish-brown with translucent white areas (rarely green and white). Dorsal sepal 24–2  long; apical point c.2.  long. Lateral sepals 17–20 x 18–22mm, joined for most of their length, deeply concave or cupped with strongly incurved margins; free points c.  long, tapered. Petals 14–16 x 7mm. Labellum c.7 x 4.5mm, dark brown, hairy; basal appendage c.0.  long; apex sharply upcurved, notched. Column 18–2  long.
