Characteristics

Rosette leaves 5–7, ovate, 5–14 x 4–11mm, dark green, margins entire or crinkled. Flower stem 80–20  tall, smooth, with 3–5 stem leaves to 30 x 5mm. Flower erect, 25–30 x 8–10mm, translucent white with green and brown stripes, apex and petals sometimes brownish. Dorsal sepal tip filiform, 5–  long. Sinus bulging in side view with narrow side gap, shallowly V-shaped with central notch in front view. Free points filiform, 20–2  long, usually divergent, sometimes parallel, tips usually curved forwards. Labellum shallowly curved at apex, just visible above sinus when set, 10–12 x 2–2.3mm, brown and white, apex blackish, tapered from near middle.

Locally common on tablelands, growing among rocks, shrubs, tussocks and ferns on sheltered slopes and flats in moist forests; also in exposed habitats close to escarpments in freely draining gravelly loam and moisture-retentive loam.
