Characteristics

Leaves 3–5 in loose rosette or scattered up stem, sessile, often cupped, 15–60 x 8–20mm, bright green, fleshy, margins entire. Flower stem 80–20  tall, smooth, fleshy. Flower 20–26 x 9–12mm, translucent white with dark green stripes and suffusions. Dorsal sepal of similar length to petals, sharply pointed. Lateral sepals loosely embracing galea and separated from petals by wide lateral gap. Sinus bulging in side view, deeply notched in front view. Free points tapered, 14–2  long, just extending above hood. Petals narrow, margins flared. Labellum narrowly lanceolate, curved near apex, protruding prominently from sinus when set, 13–20 x 3mm, dark bluish-green, bluntly pointed.

Localised in montane and subalpine areas but sometimes common, growing in moss or litter in grassy forest, snowgum woodland, tall forests, teatree thickets and buttongrass moorland in moist to wet sands or loams.
