Characteristics

Rosette leaves 8–14, elliptical to obovate, 15–38 x 10–15mm. Flower stem 200–45  tall, 3–  across, 1–8-flowered. Sterile bracts 2–3. Flowers semi-nodding to nodding, well spaced, translucent white with fawn to red-brown stripes and markings. Dorsal sepal point filamentous, 15–2  long, decurved. Lateral sepals as wide as or slightly wider than hood, shallowly concave, 10–12 x 9–11mm, margins hairy; filamentous tips curved forwards, 15–2  long, parallel, tips often close to tip of dorsal sepal. Petals with well-developed basal flanges blocking off base of opening, 16–18 x 4.5–5mm. Labellum broadly spathulate, 5.5–6.3 x 3–3.4mm, light-brown with darker brown stripes, thick, shallowly grooved, margins with numerous short hairs, strongly constricted near base; marginal bristles 16–20, longest to   long; basal lobe small.
