Characteristics

Rosette leaves 4–12, elliptic, 15–35 x 12–25mm. Flower stem 150–35  tall, 2–  across, 2–12-flowered. Stem bracts 6–7. Flowers porrect to semi-erect, glabrous, 23–28 x 5–8mm, hood translucent white with green markings, lateral sepals brown with paler areas. Dorsal sepal point thickly filamentous, 7–  long, upcurved. Lateral sepals as wide as hood, shallowly concave, glabrous; free points filamentous, 12–1  long, deflexed, parallel or divergent. Petals with large dark basal flanges blocking off base of opening, 12–13.5 x 3.5mm. Labellum oblong-ovate, 4–4.5 x 1.5–2.2mm, dark brown, thick, shallowly channelled; marginal bristles 16–22, 1–  long, spreading; basal lobe thick, with few short bristles.
