Characteristics

Rosette leaves 7–14, elliptical to narrowly ovate-lanceolate, 5–40 x 5–15mm, distinctly veined. Flower stem 120–22  tall, 2–3.  across, 1–8-flowered. Sterile bracts 3–5. Flowers porrect to semi-nodding, 35–45 x 8–10mm, translucent white with tan-brown or green stripes. Dorsal sepal point filamentous, 15–2  long, decurved. Lateral sepals deflexed, sometimes recurved back towards ovary, wider than hood, 8–12 x 9–12mm, shallowly concave, margins flat with numerous short to relatively long hairs; free points filamentous, 15–2  long, closely parallel, deflexed or hooked forwards. Petals with large basal flanges blocking off base of opening, 11.5–13.5 x 3–3.5mm. Labellum narrowly spathulate, 5–5.5 x 2–2.5mm, strongly constricted near base, brown, thin-textured, shallowly concave, margins with numerous short crowded hairs and 6–12 bristles to 3.  long; basal lobe very small, without hairs or bristles.
