Characteristics

Rosette leaves 2–4, elliptic, 15–80 x 6–25mm, dark green to yellow green, margins entire or crinkled. Flower stem 80–20  tall, slender, smooth. Flower erect to semi-nodding, 23–27 x 10–12mm, translucent white with green lines, apex brownish. Dorsal sepal about as long as petals, shortly pointed. Lateral sepals loosely embracing galea and separated from petals by wide side gap. Sinus curved in side view, deeply notched in front view. Free points tapered, 10–1  long, usually recurved, not reaching top of hood. Petals shortly pointed. Labellum shallowly curved, tip just protruding from sinus when set, widest above middle, 11–13 x 4mm, curved near tip, green with raised brown central ridge, blunt.

Environment

Disjunct in N part of range where confined to ranges and tablelands but widespread and common S of Gympie in coastal districts and hinterland ranges, growing in shady humid conditions in wet sclerophyll forest and littoral rainforest in humus-rich soil; sometimes in rock crevices and moss pads over rocks.
