Characteristics

Rosette leaves 5–7, ovate to elliptic, 8–20 x 4–11mm, margins entire. Flower stem 80–13  tall, 3–  across, 5–12-flowered. Sterile bracts 3–5. Flowers moderately crowded, presumably green with faint darker green stripes, 8–1  long. Lateral sepals deeply pouched, 4–  long. Petals 5.5–7 x 3–3.5mm, presumably translucent green with darker veins, margins entire. Labellum oblong to elliptic, 2–2.3 x 2–2.2mm, probably pale green to whitish-green with large, thick, dark green to black appendage c.1.5 x 0.8mm, with thick margins and short, narrow, blunt or pointed central ridge.

Environment

Known only from the type collection which consists of four specimens collected in 1895. Habitat details were not recorded but most species in this group grow in grassland and grassy woodland in loamy soils.
