Rosette leaves 3–6, ovate, 8–18 x 4–15mm, dark green, margins entire. Flower stem 100–16 tall, with 2–5 spreading stem leaves to 30 x 5mm. Flower leaning forwards, 14–17 x 7–8mm, translucent white and dark green, apex brown. Dorsal sepal narrowly tapered, tip 6–1 long. Petals with sharply pointed tips that often cross. Sinus shallowly curved in sideview, deeply notched in front view. Free points filiform, 20–2 long, erect. Labellum strongly curved, protruding prominently from sinus when set, 13–15 x 3.5mm, brown, tapered to acuminate point.
Widespread but localised, commonly found in coastal scrub and shrubby or heathy near-coastal forest in freely draining soil; also on large rocky outcrops, rock platforms and rock plates in crevices and moss pads; often growing with rock fern (Cheilanthes sp.); sometimes in shallow skeletal soils.
