Characteristics

Leaves 20–60 x 8–15mm, bright green, in loose rosette or scattered. Flower stem 80–20  tall, smooth. Flower erect to semi-nodding, 30–45 x 20–27mm, green and white, sickle-shaped, tips of petals and dorsal sepal loosely joined, held horizontally. Dorsal sepal longer than petals, long-tapered. Lateral sepals with side gap. Sinus slightly bulging in side view, broadly notched in front view. Free points 20–3  long, erect or recurved. Petals pointed. Labellum protruding prominently from sinus when set, 15–25 x 3–3.5mm, curved, dark, bluntly pointed.

Environment

Localised but probably overlooked and apparently restricted to habitat known as Swamp Scrub which is dominated by dense thickets of woolly tea tree in swampy areas, with orchid growing under in permanently wet, black, alkaline mud, sometimes in standing water.
