Characteristics

Rosette leaves 6–12, elliptic, 15–45 × 7–20 mm. Flower stem 150–350 mm tall, 2–3 mm across, 1–10-flowered. Stem bracts 2–3. Flowers porrect, 30–35 × 6–8 mm, translucent white with broad green and brown stripes and chequered markings, sometimes wholly green with translucent areas. Dorsal sepal point filamentous, 6–7 mm long, porrect to upcurved. Lateral sepals about as wide as hood, shallowly concave, sparsely hairy, margins thickened; free points filamentous, 10–13 mm long, deflexed or curved forwards, divergent. Petals with relatively large basal flanges that do not meet, 11–13 × 3.5 mm. Labellum oblong-ovate, 5–6 × 2–2.5 mm, brown, thick, fleshy, covered with short hairs, shallowly channelled; marginal bristles 12–18, 1–3 mm long; basal lobe thick, with a few small bristles.
