Characteristics

Rosette leaves 3–7, in sparse rosette, 10–30 x 5–10mm, sometimes with darker veining. Flower stem 80–25  tall, 1–10-flowered. Flowers porrect to semi-nodding, 13–16 x 5mm, green and reddish-brown to purple-brown with translucent white areas. Dorsal sepal point acuminate, 1.5–  long. Lateral sepals much narrower than hood, 9–11 x 6–  when flattened, concave, margins strongly infolded, gradually tapered into free points; free points 3–  long, thick, fleshy, curved forwards, weakly divergent. Petals with large basal flanges, c.10 x 3.5mm. Labellum oblong to obovate, 3–3.5 x 1.5mm, fleshy, dark brown; basal lobe thick, with numerous very short bristles; margins with 8–12 bristles 0.5–1.  long.
