Rosette leaves 4–6, 15–20 x 6–10mm, dark green, tapered to each end, margins entire. Flower stem 30–8 tall, 2– across, 2–7-flowered. Sterile bracts 2 or 3. Flowers densely crowded, transparent green with darker green lines, 8–9.5 x 4.5–5mm. Lateral sepals deeply pouched, 5.5–6 x 5–5. when flattened. Petals 6–7 x 4mm, light green with darker veins, margins irregularly toothed. Labellum ovate-oblong, 2.5–2.8 x 2.2mm, whitish-green with dark green shallowly recurved appendage c.1.1 x 1mm, with thickened appendage and short blunt central ridge.
Highly localised and known from few coastal localities, growing mainly on dry grassy slopes of stabilised sand dunes, less commonly in moist to wet heathy sites or among sedges.
