Characteristics

Rosette leaves 6–10, 20–45 x 7–14mm. Flower stem 150–35  tall, 2–12-flowered. Flowers semi-nodding, well spaced, 20–22 x 7–9mm, translucent white with dark brown to leaden green areas, hairy. Dorsal sepal point filamentous, 8–1  long, decurved. Lateral sepals as wide as hood, deeply concave, densely hairy; free points 18–2  long, parallel, curved forwards or upcurved with points often embracing dorsal sepal. Petals with large basal flanges blocking off base of opening, 15–17 x 3.5–4mm. Labellum spathulate, 4.5–5.5 x 3–3.5mm, reddish-brown, thin-textured, broadly channelled, covered with short hairs; marginal bristles 12–16, 2–  long, spreading; basal lobe small, lacking bristles.
