Characteristics

Flowering plants 100–18  tall. Flower stem smooth. Leaves obliquely erect, thick, fleshy, 10–30 x 4–13mm, dark green and shiny above, paler beneath, margins entire; lowest 3–4 leaves often stalked and forming very loose ascending cluster, rest sessile. Flower erect, 15–20 x 5–6mm, translucent white, heavily striped with dark green. Dorsal sepal shorter or longer than petals. Sinus curved shallowly in side view, flat in front view with shallow dark green central notch. Free points 6–  long, c.1.  thick, strongly clubbed. Labellum hidden, curved forwards near apex, c.6.5 x 3mm, elliptic, white with green to brown apex, margins hairy.

Localised, growing among sedges and rushes in standing water in shallow pools and in shallower water on margins of swamps and winter-wet flats under tall Melaleuca in peaty loams that become slushy when wet.
